Evolution Launches the World’s First Live Online Craps Game
Revolutionary iGaming software developer Evolution just unveiled the world’s first live dealer craps game. According to the company, this new title offers players all the excitement and perks of playing at a traditional casino.
To make it accessible for beginners, Evolution has included an Easy Mode and an interactive online tutorial to guide players through the game. Additionally, they have plans to release a Random Number Generator version of craps in the near future.
Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution, stated that “Craps has been highly requested by both players and casinos for years now. It was time for us to make it happen. With this addition, Evolution now offers every game that you would expect to find at a brick and mortar casino.”
He continued, “Developing this game and capturing the thrilling atmosphere of a craps table in an online environment was quite challenging. But our team has done an exceptional job, and we are confident that craps enthusiasts will love this product. It will also help us expand our reach in new markets outside of Europe as we aim to attract players from all over the world.” Haushalter added.
The Initial Reaction
Although it is still early days, initial responses have been positive. The designers have gone above and beyond to create a realistic experience for players – even using a mechanized arm to roll the dice, just like in a physical casino, to ensure fair odds. With this feature, players can’t blame the dealer if things don’t go their way.
Proposed Merger with NetEnt
In addition to this groundbreaking release, Evolution has announced its plans to acquire NetEnt for approximately $2.1 Billion. This merger comes at a perfect time as both companies have been performing exceptionally well in their respective markets. In the third quarter of 2020 alone, Evolution generated over 140 million Euros in revenue while NetEnt saw a 58% increase in profits compared to the same period last year.
Evolution has also recently launched its first five live tables in Pennsylvania and Kaunsa, Lithuania where they have opened a new medium-sized studio. The company has seen great success with games like Crazy Time and Instant Roulette and hopes to continue this streak with live craps.
Meanwhile, NetEnt has been focused on strengthening its presence in the United States by signing deals with major operators such as William Hill US, BetMGM, DraftKings, Scientific Games, and Tipico throughout 2020.
